I Watched a Movie: Knocked Up

I was hopeful going into this movie, given the great reviews and Judd Apatow's body of work. And, I wasn't disappointed. This movie is funny.

I haven't had a child (yet), but I can only assume that this film, like most films using the pregnancy and birth events for laughs, highly exaggerates this part of life. When Lynnette and I have children, I don't expect it to be full of nonstop laughter.

But it might be kind of cool of Paul Rudd showed up.

I agree, Judd Apatow has done it again. Totally in the vein of Freaks & Geeks or Undeclared (both of which I suggest you check out if you missed those tv shows).

h Not too much gross out humor, just the kind of humor that comes from watching someone else in an awkward situation. That's the beauty of this movie, the characters are real people that we can all relate to.

I think Hollywood has a lot to learn from this movie

Because of a line break in my reader, I read your first sentence as:

I was hopeful going into this movie, given the great reviews and Judd Apatow's body.

I hope the movie makes me laugh as much as that misreading did. :)
