As If the Lines Weren't Long Enough
You know that idiot that ALWAYS seems to be in front of you in line at Starbucks? You know - the guy who can't make up his mind if he wants an Americano or a Cappuccino, and he has no idea if a grande is bigger than a tall?
Well now, he'll have the same decision making trouble about his lunch. Tomato Mozzarella salad or Corn and Black Bean Salad?
That's right, Starbucks is now offering lunch. This is a brilliant business decision, as no doubt countless more people will now have a reason to go to Starbucks. What was once a niche business (coffee lovers) is now a restaurant, able to serve nearly anyone from their diverse menu.
I now have another reason to stay close to the local, independently owned joint. But Starbucks needn't worry. They may have lost some of my business, but they'll more than make up for it in salad sales.
