I Watched a Movie: Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

This movie is utterly stupid.

And pretty funny.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is exactly what you'd expect. You expect Will Ferrell to be funny, and in this movie, he is hilarious. The best scenes are when he and Sacha Baron Cohen go head to head. You've got two superb comedic actors who are on the top of their games. It's a delight. This film proves that Ferrell is at his best when he can star in the movies he writes (or, write the movies he stars in).

And, the slate of co-stars does incredibly well.

Rent the DVD and watch all of the outakes and extras.

When you're done, do something meaningful and productive for two hours to balance out the time your spent laughing at stupid (but really funny) jokes.

I would argue that laughing at stupid stuff is one of the most meaningful and productive things we can do on this earth. Everything else is just fluff.

I agree that laughing is good. I just prefer to do it with friends over drinks.
