Going to Philly
Lynnette and I are leaving on a jet plane Friday for a quick weekend in The City of Brotherly Love. If you've been there recently, let me know what can't be missed.
Note: I already know about cheesesteaks, the Liberty Bell and the Phillies. Other, lesser known 'must-dos' are what I'm looking for.

P.S. In case I wasn't clear at first, The Simple Way is in Philly, you should visit them while your there.
I'm liking your blog. I'll be reading more later.
We live down the street from you, off Buchanan on 11th.

I caught this post just in time - maybe... so as you may know I went to school in Philly. There are several kinds of neat things to do. I really recommend a visit to a quaker meeting house - there are several historic meeting houses downtown where you can peek inside, and get a brief intro to quakerism (which helped shape philly in its early days). Then, there's ortlieb's, a great jazz club that's not to be missed. Rittenhouse park and around UPenn are fun places to just be in the city and be outside. The PMA (Art Museum) - especially the neighboring Rodin museum, if you like sculpture... or the Franklin Institute if you want more science than art.
And a walk along the Schuylkill River, on Kelly Drive, is nice at sunset.
:) Tell us all about your trip when you get back - I want to live vicariously through you.
