Meanwhile, at lunch...
I love catching up with my friend Ben. He's as perceptive as they come. Here's a dialogue sample from lunch today:
Me: I think there's a fine line between patriot and terrorist.
Ben: Yeah, there's also a fine line between president and warlord.
Wow.

Patriots hijack civilian airplanes and fly them full of fuel into buildings full of people.
Patriots when fighting a war against the "imperialists" - meaning us - don't mind how many civilians from their own nations they kill or worse target.
The terrorists is power hungry who wants to control everyone else and they use terror to do it. I don't see a whole lot of similarity and the comment about the difference between President and warlord doesnt even deserve a response

You could be describing either sides of this with those comments. For some reason when I started reading this comment it seemed like you would be a guy writing from Iraq or somewhere like that (I mean an Iraqi), about us. Guess I wasn't reading too closely, looking back, but you should realize that they see things the same as us, just from the other side...
Here's a really interesting blog for you to puruse. Might lead you to see the other side of this so-called holy war a bit. http://dear_raed.blogspot.com/2002_12_01_dear_raed_archive.html

I presume the two of you refer to our American president and occupation, but could it more appropriately refer to one previous Iraqi "president" considering purposed land grabs of the past. Where does the word dictator fit into the analogy?
