Armageddon 2008: Graham Vs. Falwell

Last weekend Billy Graham preached what could be his last revival in New York City. On Saturday, he was introduced to the crowd by close friend Bill Clinton. The former president shared very amicable remarks as he, like most people, have the highest respect for the long-time evangelist. Then it was Billy’s turn. Thanking Clinton, Graham added his thoughts that Mr. Clinton should become an evangelist and let his wife run the country. Wow.

Only a few days prior, here in Nashville, there was a huge sound, like letting the hot air out of a balloon, when all the SBC ‘messengers’ left town after their annual gathering. One night, as Jerry Falwell keynoted, he encouraged the attendees to band together to “deal with Hillary in 2008.”

While perhaps neither he nor Graham’s comments were appropriate at either gathering, I for one can’t wait for 2008. I can’t wait until on Fox News or TBN or CNN, along with people yelling at each other for no reason, we can see a wrestling match between the then 300-pound Falwell and the then 89-year-old Graham. Now that’s must see TV.

I didn't think you could be a Christian and a Democrat...

Look people,

Obviously what Graham said about the Clintons has to be taken lightly - considering he has fluid on the brain. :)

...oh yeah, and Jerry Falwell's an idiot. We don't Jesus to defeat Hillary - we need Karl Rove to defeat Hillary. As if!
